The city of Ningbo, China, became the epicentre of international Taekwon-Do on August 16–17, 2025, as it hosted the Asian Open Championships. The event brought together more than 600 competitors from over 10 countries, making it one of the most significant Taekwon-Do gatherings in the region this year.

Adding further prestige to the championships was the presence of Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa, President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF). His attendance underscored the importance of the competition, highlighting its role in promoting both the technical and cultural values of Taekwon-Do worldwide.
