Taekwon-Do students from across the United States gathered on May 3rd at the Beck Recreational Center in Aurora, Colorado, to participate in an intensive Master Class led by Master Suzan Crochet, VIII Dan. The event was a celebration of skill development, discipline, and community spirit, bringing together practitioners of all ages and ranks.

Organised and hosted by Maum Sin Yong Taekwon-Do, led by Dr. Karen Kramer (VI Dan), the seminar delivered four hours of high-level instruction, with a focus on sparring footwork and specialty kicking techniques. Master Crochet emphasised the foundational role of precision, balance, and timing, guiding students through progressive drills designed to enhance agility and spatial awareness.

A highlight of the class was the focus on jumping and specialty kicks, where Master Crochet’s detailed breakdowns and live demonstrations provided practical insights into the biomechanics behind advanced techniques. Her hands-on coaching style allowed participants to receive individual corrections and feedback, ensuring everyone left with concrete ways to improve.

“If you want to improve you can’t just move or train; you must practice with intention,” Master Crochet reminded attendees—a message that resonated throughout the session.
The success of the event was made possible thanks to the dedication of Dr. Karen Kramer and Mrs. Diana Hansen, whose coordination ensured a smooth experience for all participants.
This Master Class not only served as a technical training opportunity but also strengthened the bonds within the ITF community, reinforcing the value of ongoing education and shared passion in martial arts.
