Trevor Nicholls, IX Dan, President of UKITF, and Vice-President & Secretary General of ITF, recently led the IIC in Barcelona, drawing Masters and Instructors from the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Venezuela, and Spain. The participants’ enthusiasm was palpable, united in their support for ITF and the upcoming European Championships in Wales 2024. Their collective aim was clear: to enhance ITF’s standing, fostering a positive atmosphere for all.

Throughout the IIC, the focus was on revisiting General Choi’s “9 secrets,” especially in the context of Tul performances. The emphasis was on a more assertive approach, emphasizing confident execution and the underlying purpose of every technique.
Approaching the end of 2023, the year’s events, including IICs in Alaska, Argentina, and Barcelona, the World Games, and numerous national events, have provided the Taekwon-Do community with valuable opportunities to exchange best practices and personal achievements among like-minded practitioners.
Looking ahead to 2024, significant events include Continentals and the new America Cup. Trevor Nicholls encourages participation from all quarters—competitors, umpires, spectators, and support staff. The goal is to ensure that these events prioritize the experience of competitors, delivering a superior event for all involved.
