Many said that it was perhaps the best fight of the World Cup, the one between Facundo Jiménez from Argentina and the British Harry Evans. That’s how exciting this final was.
This impressive fight was very tough and changing, with great moments for each one. Evans made a difference at the beginning but then Jiménez was very effective to even everything out and leave the question of who would be the World Champion until the last moments.

Finally, the gold medal went to the United Kingdom with the new champion Harry Evans who confirmed that it was a “very tough tournament, it was very difficult to face these great guys… but here I am” he said, happy for his title.
The new champion also explained that “preparing for the pandemic was complicated, but we have been preparing for two years to meet this objective.”
For his part, the Argentine Facundo Jiménez agreed that “it was a very difficult tournament, with very hard fights from the beginning” to add later that “although the bitter taste remains for not taking the gold medal, I am very happy to be on the podium”.
