Gianella Pascucci will represent Argentina at the ITF Wolrd Championships 2022, in II dan Women’s Youth Patterns and in Women’s Youth Wrestling in the category up to 55kg. At 17 years old, she is a multiple national champion, runner-up in the 2018 World Cup in Argentina and runner-up in the Pan-American Championship in 2020, which was held virtually forced by the pandemic.

This important tour of Gianella Pascucci has a very special beginning of improvement. “I started training at the age of 9 due to the bullying situations that I received at that time and that, how they were affecting in a very bad way, with my family we resorted to this martial art thanks to recommendations from people I knew of my parents. “

That effort and conviction is maintained and intensifies in the face of new challenges. “The personal preparation for this World Cup was very intense, there were several months in which I had to train both physically and mentally to create a balance and a good role when competing. And thanks to that effort, hard work and with the support of myself, Sabumnim Javier Fernández and my colleagues, I achieved my goal.”

Intensive preparation for a competition covers not only training times but also everyday life. “In my case there are several life issues that change, in principle the availability time for the different activities that I carry out and for meetings with family, friends, for example, are modified. Food care is also a very important factor , the hours of rest and the new activities in which I committed myself and I commit myself.”

In the moments before entering the competition, Gianella Pascucci becomes even more demanding. “When it comes to competing I am very demanding with the goal I want to achieve, which is why more than once before competing I concentrate on listening to music, for example. During the time between the shape competition and the wrestling competition, I prefer to socialize a little more with my teammates and to help me stay calm until the time to fight comes.”

To close this talk, the Argentine representative says that her goal for this World Cup is “to give up all my dedication and show that everything I have been working on, the help and support I received from my family and acquaintances, was worth it. It is the first time I leave the country and I feel a great responsibility when it comes to representing Argentina and I plan to fulfill this.”
