In the highly competitive environment of the ITF World Championship, athletes are expected not only to perform at their peak but also to demonstrate exemplary conduct. The fault system ensures that the integrity of the competition is preserved and that all matches are fought with fairness and discipline.
One (1) point shall be deducted for the following faults:
A) Losing one’s temper, either verbally or with gestures;
B) Insulting the opponent in any way;
C) Biting, scratching, hitting or blocking with the elbow, knee or forehead;
D) Excessive Contact: Engaging in excessive contact with an unauthorized part of the body;
E) Protective countdown by momentary knock-out.
F) Upon the sum of any three warnings from any fault.
