In high-level Taekwon-Do competition, respect, control, and discipline are fundamental. At the ITF World Championship 2025 in Barcelona, certain behaviours and actions can lead to the most severe sanction: disqualification.
The following rules ensure the safety of competitors and the integrity of the event.
A) Misconduct under any circumstance or towards any person within the competition, specifically other contestants, the judges, the referee or his/her instructions;
B) Full contact with a part of the body under unauthorized conditions;
C) Three direct minus points resulting from any of the above-mentioned grounds (Faults, Article 37);
D) Attack to a fallen competitor;
E) Competitor under the influence of alcoholic beverages or drugs;
F) Competitor not complying with a doctor´s decision.
G) Full contact shall be techniques that hit a forbidden body part and/or hit under conditions that are not allowed and cause injury or knock-out.
