“My heart is pounding at the thought of seeing Taekwondo families from abroad that I haven’t seen for a long time,” says Master Sean Yu, 6th Dan, who as well as ITF-Korea General Secretary is the Head Coach of the Korean team in this Taekwondo World Cup for which there is just a little more than a day to go.

It also highlights the importance of this reunion competition, after the isolations and problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In his role as Head Coach he hopes “to get good results in the event that will take place a long time after.” For this, the members of the Korean team have trained hard in their respective Dojang.
In this return to competition in its traditional direct way, Master Sean Yu sees countries with a large number of competitors such as the United Kingdom, Argentina and the USA, among others, as the great candidates to obtain good results.
Regarding the Korean team, Sean Yu is confident that they will achieve “good results both in combat and in form in this competition”, with competitors who will have their first experience in an ITF World Championship in the Netherlands.
“I hope this tournament will be a great experience and I will become a good coach for the younger generation.”
