In the Walter Weight Senior Men’s Sparring category, Ireland celebrated in the final at the hands of Paul Manning who defeated Argentine Antonio Silva.
Manning is the vice president of the Taekwon-do Alliance Ireland ITF Ireland and he also came to this World Cup in the Netherlands as a Coach together with the teacher Chris McCabe, from the Irish team.
The brand new champion had already enjoyed the pleasure of winning a medal in Canada 2012. In this event in the Netherlands 2022 he achieved it in the Senior category, with the same joy as the first time.
A few weeks ago Paul Manning told us that he was looking forward to the World Cup. “I personally hope to succeed in my sparring category.” A wish fulfilled.
