The British Imogen Allen won the title in the Medium Medium Female Adult Sparring category (up to 60 kg.) this afternoon in Amsterdam, at the close of the World Cup in the Netherlands.
With all the joy of the gold triumph, Imogen explained that she started Taekwon-do at the age of 13 and after 3 World Cups, this is her first gold medal in singles and she expects many more to come.

“It was a long and very difficult tournament” said the new World Champion. “It has cost me a lot and that makes me even happier”, while she assured that she had to concentrate at that moment for the team competition that she was already arriving.
The British defeated Argentina’s Ludmila Ojeda in the final, in a grand final, intense and with a very good technical level, which showed the level of both competitors.
Ludmila explained at the end of the fight that “I’m done with this, I worked hard to get here and this silver medal is part of that effort, I’m very happy.”
