One of the most anticipated moments of the Saturday afternoon in this World Cup was the adapted Taekwon-do finals. The first to take place was the one between Nicolás Escobar from Argentina and Gian Kelly from Ireland.

The person who obtained the title of Gup Patterns Adapted Taekwondo World Champion was Nicolás who was very happy and assured that “I was never nervous, nervous at all”.

The value of the gold medal is a huge recognition of the effort and desire of Nicolás who participated in “three selective to get here and won all three” as the Coach told him. “Everything was very nice and constant, I work every day from Monday to Friday to get ready.”

Statistics and titles are undoubtedly important in those recognitions that we mentioned before, but they are not the final objective of Adapted Taekwon-do, as Gian Kelly and his coach demonstrated at the end of the final. “I’m very happy in the final” Kelly said while his coach highlighted that his student trained in an open club, living with other athletes without any problem, “In an example of inclusion that we want to show everyone.”
