In these daily previews of the ITF World Championships 2022, we once again chat with the different federations that will participate from July 26. From Spain we traveled to South America.

Master Víctor Fonte, as president of the Uruguayan Taekwondo Association (T.A.U.), tells us how they expect the start of the World Cup in his country.

What are your expectations for this World Cup?
The expectations I have is to be competitive, reaching the podium or not is a consequence of that. In the last 3 World Cups, Italy, London and Argentina we did very well and we won several medals.

Which countries do you see as the main animators of the competition?
As usually happens, I think the host country will be the protagonist along with Argentina, England and others who are always defining the top positions.

How is the team made up?
On this occasion we are represented by 4 competitors who will surely give up everything.

To close, Master Víctor Fonte highlights the “competitive level that is growing” in Uruguay, one of the objectives of the Uruguayan Taekwondo Association.
